ACGME-I Begins Accrediting First Programs in Indonesia, Also New Institutions in Lebanon and Saudi Arabia
ACGME International (ACGME-I) is proud to announce the latest Initial Accreditation decisions, highlighted by the first accredited graduate medical education (GME) programs in Indonesia:
- Ophthalmology (Cicendo Eye Hospital)
- Pediatrics (Harapan Kita National Women and Children Health Center)
- Neurology (National Brain Center Hospital Mahar Mardjono Jakarta)
- Orthopaedic Surgery (Soeharso Orthopedic Hospital)
Two new Sponsoring Institutions also achieved Initial Accreditation: St. George University of Beirut is the third accredited institution in Lebanon; Fakeeh Care Group is the fourth in Saudi Arabia.
The family medicine and pediatrics programs at American Hospital Dubai (United Arab Emirates (UAE)) are the first ACGME-I-accredited programs at the institution, which was accredited earlier this year.
The internal medicine program at Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital & Research Centre (Pakistan) is the first ACGME-I-accredited GME program at that institution, which also achieved Initial Accreditation this year.
Finally, the neurology residency at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi (UAE) and the reproductive endocrinology and infertility fellowship at the American University of Beirut (Lebanon) also achieved Initial Accreditation.
