Learn more about one of two 2026 ACGME International Susan H. Day Physician Leader Awardees

As part of the ongoing series of in-person workshops dedicated to assisting Sponsoring Institutions and programs in preparing for the full implementation of Milestones 2.0, staff members from the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) Milestones team held their latest session in Oman.

ACGME-I joined the global medical education community at the flagship event for the World Federation for Medical Education (WFME), participating as exhibitor, sponsor, and presenter at the WFME World Conference 2025, held 25-28 May in Bangkok, Thailand.

A ceremony highlighting the six new ACGME-I-accredited Sponsoring Institutions was held during the 2nd International Conference on Advancing Postgraduate Medical Education in Jakarta, Indonesia.  

Continuing the ongoing series of in-person workshops dedicated to assisting Sponsoring Institutions and programs in preparing for the full implementation of Milestones 2.0, staff members from the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) Milestones team and ACGME-I conducted their most recent workshop in Lebanon.

Recordings of a select number of sessions from the 2024 ACGME Annual Educational Conference are now available in ACGME-I’s distance learning portal, Explore, including all three educational sessions curated by ACGME-I.

During the January 2024 meeting of the Review Committees-International, a total of 12 graduate medical education (GME) programs received positive accreditation decisions – including the first programs at two accredited Sponsoring Institutions to achieve Initial Accreditation status.
