To provide the coordinator community with enhanced resources and to strengthen the growing community, ACGME-I is launching a new webinar series: Coordinator Connect. The first session of the series, “Leading Through Communication,” will be held on Wednesday, 6 May 2026.
Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) Director, Special Projects Morgan Passiment, MSJ will lead the session and discuss how understanding different communication styles and communicating effectively can help improve engagement among diverse groups and enhance team dynamics and collaboration.
Three coordinators from ACGME-I-accredited Sponsoring Institutions and programs will also join the conversation to share their perspectives. They are:
- Israk Bangzaja Abdula (Sidra Medicine, Qatar)
- Leeanna Fox Irwin, MAEd, C-TAGME (St. Jude Global)
- Betty Muchai (The Aga Khan University Medical College, East Africa, Kenya)
ACGME-I Associate Executive Director William Hart will moderate. The webinar is free, but registration is required.
In parallel with the webinar, ACGME-I will provide additional resources on its ACGME-I Social platform, including a video presentation by Ziyana AlKhusaibi of Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi (United Arab Emirates). Any coordinator in an ACGME-I-accredited Sponsoring Institution or program who does not have an invitation link to sign up for ACGME-I Social should contact ACGME-I Accreditation and Program Manager Kourtney Zimmermann.
