ACGME-I is excited to announce the launch of a new webinar series designed for educators, faculty members, and researchers seeking to advance scholarship in graduate medical education.
The first webinar in the series, “From Standards to Studies: Turning Accreditation Data into Research and Evaluation,” will take place on Tuesday, 9 June 2026. This webinar will introduce accreditation research and evaluation, while helping participants turn accreditation-related questions into publishable studies. Participants will learn how to distinguish accreditation research from program evaluation and quality improvement, identify meaningful and feasible questions, and consider approaches for developing accreditation-related studies into scholarly products.
Speakers include:
- Halah Ibrahim, MD, MEHP, ACGME-I Vice President, International Outreach
- Sean Hogan, PhD, ACGME Vice President, Research and Evaluation
- Sophia Archuleta, MD, head of the Division of Infectious Diseases at the National University Hospital and Associate Professor of Medicine at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore
The webinar is free, but registration is required.
International medical education scholarship is increasingly relevant to journals and readers around the world, but turning a good idea into a publishable manuscript can be challenging. This webinar series will provide practical, skills-based guidance from content experts to help participants strengthen their research questions, methods, writing, and publication strategies.
Webinars will take place approximately every six to eight weeks. Participants at all levels of experience are encouraged to join the sessions and contribute on ACGME-I Social, where supplemental material and resources will be shared and participants can share and discuss ideas.
