ACGME-I Webinar: Everything You Need to Know about ACGME-I Site Visits

Consider nominating graduate medical education (GME) colleagues deserving of special recognition for the 2026 ACGME International Awards, which are given in three categories:

• Physician Leader
• Physician Educator
• Staff

Accreditation site visits to all ACGME-I-accredited programs will ramp up in the next few years, as required visits following completion of a program’s Self-Study are scheduled. This webinar is designed if it has it been a while since a program’s last site visit, there is a new program director or coordinator who has never experienced a site visit, or for programs applying for ACGME-I accreditation or moving from Initial to Continued Accreditation.

Instagram becomes the third social media platform for ACGME-I.

Attendees from 19 countries, representing most ACGME-I-accredited Sponsoring Institutions, joined thousands of their graduate medical education (GME) colleagues for three days of learning, sharing, networking, and collaborating at the 2025 ACGME Annual Educational Conference, held on 20-22 February 2025, in Nashville, Tennessee, US. With a record attendance exceeding 5,000, attendees made the most of many educational sessions and networking opportunities, both formal and informal.

ACGME International (ACGME-I) is proud to announce that two new Sponsoring Institutions, as well as six graduate medical education (GME) programs in four institutions across the globe, have achieved Initial Accreditation.

Publication builds on meetings of GME leaders from across ACGME-I-accredited Sponsoring Institutions, using their direct input to inform the document.
